Masterton Homes has won the National Display Home – under $250,000 Award in the Master Builders National Excellence in Building and Construction Awards for 2011.

The Award was given to Masterton Homes for the design and construction of its ‘Merlot Design’ display home in the Sydney suburb of Horningsea Park.

The Merlot Design offers excellent value for money, combined with a high standard of design functionality. With 265 square metres split over two levels, the Merlot has plenty of space. The four bedroom house has most of its living areas downstairs, including a study and a large media room. An L-shaped open plan living, dining and kitchen zone leads to a covered outdoor deck. The second level houses the bedrooms and two bathrooms. A clever island bedhead separates the sleeping area from the clothes storage area and doubles as hanging space on one side.

Masterton Homes has delivered a high standard of design functionality with the Merlot Design, reflecting on the company’s fifty year history as part NSW home building community and as a Master Builder Australia National Award winner.
