When Jim Masterton erected Australia's first prefabricated frames and trusses on his front lawn in 1962, he saw it simply as a cost saving measure for his customers. It was, in fact, the first of many Jim Masterton innovations to revolutionise the building industry.
From humble beginnings as a one man operation, it
was Jim's ultimate aim to build quality homes within the reach of ordinary Australians. |

| On the way to achieving this goal his innovations have kept on coming - the reinforced concrete slab, aluminium windows and the first display home centre in NSW at Warwick Farm are just a few examples. | |
| Equally important to the Masterton success story is their traditional approach to customer satisfaction, an area Jim believes has been largely overlooked in today's electronic business world. When asked the secret to his success, Jim replied "there's no secret, just give your customers what they want and they'll keep coming back", and they have, generation after generation. Despite the enormous changes within the building industry over the past 48 years, the hallmarks of innovation, quality and customer satisfaction that established Masterton Homes remain as important today as they were in 1962. |
